Well, I purchased a breeding colony of Burundi Frontosa's just about a fortnight ago and had been fattening then up. Gave them a massive water change over the weekend and covered the tank with an old bed sheet and didnt feed for 3 days.
Checked them yesterday and 3 of the 5 females have mouthfulls........Posted Image Cant believe my luck.

The previous owner let them hold for 21 days before stripping, but i really want to practice stripping and tumbling in preparation for the WC's.

What day should i strip or should i let them hold?

if they held for the past i would let them hold it is alot easier to raise fry at 21 days then it is to try and get them to survive at day 5

Well, two didnt hold and the third was getting picked on, so i stripped 50+ eggs from her and they are currently getting tumbled, but as they are only 3 days old i dont think they will go too well...... Thinking i should maybe put them in a Methylene Blue Solution in a seperate tank rather than in the main tank to help with any fungus issues. What to do think or is it too late already anyway??

Will make some tank dividers for next time so the females wont get harrassed. Its all a learning experience i guess!!! Posted Image

Well, definitely was a massive learning curve. Have 7 wrigglers, but should have been more in my opinion..... I know more for next time!
